    What the file needs

    • A name or phone per lead
    • A status such as Booked, Lost, Pending
    • A date and a lead source
    • Optional: quote amount, service type

Headers are matched loosely. A BookingKoala lead export works as-is.

No file handy? See it work on six months of made-up leads.

Why close rate by source is the number that matters

Every lead source looks different on cost per lead. Facebook leads are cheap, Google Local Services leads are expensive, referrals are free. None of that tells you which one to fund next month. What does is how many of those leads turned into booked jobs, and what those jobs were worth.

Booking software can't show you this because it only knows about the leads that booked. The ones that ghosted, priced you out, or went with someone else live in a spreadsheet, a CRM, or nowhere at all. Put them all in one file and the picture changes fast: a channel that produces half your leads and a tenth of your bookings is a budget leak, not a growth engine.

    How to read the results

    • Close rate is booked leads divided by all leads from that source. Under 15% on a paid channel deserves a hard look at either the ads or the follow-up.
    • Quoted vs booked revenue shows where quotes go to die. A big gap on one source usually means price-shopping leads.
    • The monthly chart shows momentum. A source that closed well last quarter but is fading now is worth a call to whoever runs it.
    • Click a source to see the actual leads, so a surprising number can be checked against names you remember.

The next step is putting marketing spend next to these numbers to get cost per booked job. The cost per lead calculator does that by hand, and CleaningInsytes does it automatically once your booking software and ad accounts are connected.

    Common questions

Where does my file go when I upload it?

Nowhere. The file is read by your browser on this page and never sent to our servers. Close the tab and it is gone. If you choose to save your results, the rows are imported into your own CleaningInsytes account only after you sign up.

What columns does the leads file need?

A name or phone number, a status (Booked, Lost, Pending, No response, and similar), a date, and a lead source. Quote amount and service type are optional but unlock revenue and average ticket. The header names are matched loosely, so a BookingKoala lead export or a spreadsheet you keep by hand both work without editing.

How do I export leads from BookingKoala?

In BookingKoala go to Leads, set the date range you want, and use the export option to download a CSV. Upload that file here as-is. Booking exports work too, but the lead export includes the leads that never booked, which is what makes close rate by source meaningful.

    What counts as a close?

A lead whose status is Booked or Won. Won-but-cancelled leads are listed but not counted as closes, and quoted revenue is the sum of quote amounts across every lead from that source. These are the same rules the CleaningInsytes Source Performance report uses, so the numbers will match after you import.
